Any sound and any image can be decomposed into several pure frequencies, or musical notes, and recomposed by playing all the frequencies together. In this piece, made for screen and 24 independent speakers, I decompose an audiovisual recording and assign one frequency to each speaker. Each speaker plays one note; the notes from all speakers mix in the air, and we can again hear the full recording. In this video, of course, the sounds from all speakers are mixed into a single channel.
