We Are Made of Musical Notes
A recording is separated into pure frequencies and rebuilt in the air across 24 independent speakers.
An image rebuilt in the air
Any sound or image can be decomposed into pure frequencies and reconstructed by combining them again. In this installation, an audiovisual recording is separated and one frequency is assigned to each of 24 independent speakers.
Every speaker contributes one note. The notes mix physically in the room, allowing the audience to hear the recording emerge again from its component vibrations.
